First of all, apologies if you really wanted these by Sunday. In the end, I was nowhere near the internet, so wasn’t able to post. Anyway, this homework only has to be handed in after the Easter break, so you’ve got plenty of time.

And plenty of choice! There should be something for everyone here! Question 1 is straight from your exam practice book; questions 2 and 3 are along similar lines.

Perhaps, the answer is I can write about it because I do not truly belong.” How well do you feel that Monica Ali evokes the life and atmosphere of the Bangladeshi expatriate community in ‘Brick Lane’, and how does she achieve this?
