AC2.1 Carnival Week Homework

Okay, here goes...

Anyone who hasn't already done it should do the revision exercises on pages 40-41 of the student's book.

Everyone please do the exercises on pages 44-45 of the student's book. We'll check them in class after the break.

Tuesday/Thursday students, please write one of the following compositions. Saturday students can also write a second one of these if you want to get ahead with your writing assignments for next session.

Write an answer to one of the following compositions. Write your answer in 300-350 words in an appropriate style.

1. The British Council is holding an international competition called, "A Day that Changed My Life." It is inviting students from around the world to write letters to share their experiences of a significant day in their life. You decide to enter the competition. Write your letter.

2. The British Council is planning a book about festivals and customs from cities where it has teaching centres around the world. It has asked students to submit proposals about what should be included on the festivals and customs which are unique to their own cities and which also maintain important traditions. You decide to submit a proposal about your city. Write your proposal.

3. The British Council is conducting a survey amongst its students into it teaching centres. It has asked students to send in reports on their teaching centre covering the following areas: the quality of teaching, customer service, the standard of classrooms and facilities, the cultural programme, and the image of the British Council in their city. Write your report.
