FCE and CAE Enrolment

The closing date for enrolment for the FCE and CAE June exams is MARCH 15th. Please make sure you enrol for the exam before then or you will have to pay a penalty!!

CAE Writing Task Types

CAE Students! Some of you have asked for summaries of the different writing task types. Of course, your coursebook has examples of all the writing tasks you may have to do, but here are a couple of extra references to help you.

i) The British Council has a 'CAE Tutor' programme, which you can use on any computer at our centre in Rua do Breiner. Once in the programme, click on 'Information about the exam', then select 'Paper 2', and then, at the bottom of the screen, click on the link for 'information on how to answer the questions on paper 2'.

ii) Flo-Jo has an excellent 'CAE Trainer' option, with a writing class.

This gives you help and advice on completing a CAE writing task, and you can even submit your work for publication if you want! Of course, the person who has to correct it is me...
